Brad Marchand faces wave of criticism that could lead to the Florida Panthers being investigated

Cap circumvention has been a big talk in the NHL over the past couple of years, and now Brad Marchand is facing some criticism that could lead to the Florida Panthers being investigated.
The Florida Panthers had three big names to sign entering the off-season, and many believed that they were going to at least lose one with how little cap space they had.
Magically, the
Panthers were somehow able to sign all three of Brad Marchand,
Aaron Ekblad, and
Sam Bennett, keeping all of them for basically the rest of their careers.
The contracts for Ekblad, and Bennett both make sense, but Marchand's doesn't add up as much as he just recently turned 37.
After his contract comes to an end,
Marchand will be 43-years-old, and many around the league have been questioning this signing.
Are the Florida Panthers going to get investigated?
I still can't believe the NHL allowed this deal to go through. Yes it's within the rules. But the Ilya Kovalchuk 15 year $100 million deal was also within the rules until the NHL said enough was enough and didn't allow it.
After just stating the NHL was cracking down on cap circumvention, this happens!
"It is kind of sketchy. I'd be surprised, or may I shouldn't be surprised, if the NHL allows it this looks like pure cap circumvention... doesn't look like anything is going to be done about it."
The likely hood of the Panthers being investigated for this isn't high, but you don't see too many players playing until they are 43-years-old.
