Boston Bruins trade Joonas Korpisalo to the Edmonton Oilers: An official offer is on the table
A latest report has revealed that the Boston Bruins are set to move on from a goaltender, and the Edmonton Oilers are already lining up.
The Bruins are in a pickle with a boatload of goaltenders current in their organization, and many are NHL caliber.
After parting ways with Brandon Bussi recently, it appears that he's not the only name on his way out of Boston.
A proposed deal sees the Bruins dealing away goaltender Joonas Korpisalo to the Edmonton Oilers, who have been in past talks with the Bruins for Jeremy Swayman.

The Bruins would easily fill the void of Korpisalo while acquiring youth and draft capital as well, as Michael DiPietro is knocking on the door to join the Bruins' NHL team after a award-winning season with Providence in the AHL.
James Murphy of RG.ORG unveiled intriguing details on trade calls between GM Don Sweeney and another organization.
«They got calls and I know that,» a trusted NHL source told RG in April. «What materialized and how far, I can't tell you, but there was some interest.»
Korpisalo's own agent, Markus Lehto, declined those claims:
«There is no truth to that; Joonas loves it in Boston,» Lehto replied in an email to RG.org when asked if there was any truth to the rumor that his client had asked out of the Bruins.
The 31-year old goaltender did voice his displeasure with being in the shadows of Jeremy Swayman towards the end of the 2024-25 NHL season, and we know that Don Sweeney is not one to be messed with.
As he dealt Brad Marchand away, without hesistating to meet his financial asking price on a contract extension.
