Charlie Coyle Trade: Elliotte Friedman revealed a major condition had to be met
After a disastrous 2024-25 season, the Boston Bruins made some big changes.
To finish the year, the Bruins ended up going 33-39-10, bad enough to earn them 5th from the bottom in the league.
Before finishing the year, Don Sweeney ended up tearing down his roster during the NHL trade deadline, confirming the organization was heading for a rebuild.
Unfortunately for the Colorado Avalanche and
Coyle, things did not go how they expected, and they were eliminated during the first-round.
After being eliminated, there was a lot of noise around the Colorado Avalanche shopping Charlie Coyle.
He ended up getting traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets, but Elliotte Friedman confirmed that there were some conditions that had to be met if Colorado was going to trade Coyle.

Coyle looked good for the Avalanche during the regular season, but he looked terrible in the playoffs, and got into a altercation which ultimately probably led to him being traded.
