Brad Marchand Suspended? An Announcement Was Just Made And It's Not Good

Yesterday, as the Boston Bruins were taking on the New Jersey Devils, Boston Bruins captain may have gotten himself in some trouble.

The Bruins got off to a good start, and ended up taking the lead just over five minutes into the game off a goal from Morgan Geekie, but things would get ugly after that.

The New Jersey Devils came out flying in the second period and went on to score four goals on Jeremy Swayman, and had a 4-1 lead heading into the third period.

To start the third period, Boston Bruins interim head coach made the decision to pull Jeremy Swayman, and threw Joonas Korpisalo in nets.

Korpsialo ended up giving up a goal in the third period on 6 shots faced and the Boston Bruins went on to lose 5-1.

To make matters worse, Boston Bruins captain may be getting disciplined by the league following a play that took place during the game.

A play happened, and Brad Marchand ended up hitting a ref in the arm with his stick. Multiple Bruins insiders believe that Brad Marchand is going to face some discipline from the league because of this.

Boston Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy weighted in on the situation and believes that some discipline could be coming Brad Marchand's way following this play with the NHL ref.

Unfortunately there is no clip of the play that happened.

The Bruins are in a tight race for a wild card spot, and are already having a hard time as it is. Losing their captain because of this would definitely hurt them more then it would benefit them.
