Bruins Head Coach Joe Sacco Makes Drastic Changes Mid-Game As The Bruins Fall 2-0 After The First Period
Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco made some big changes to the Bruins lines mid-game after falling down 2-0 to the Rangers.
Heading into their meeting against the New York Rangers, the Bruins announced some notable roster changes, but now Joe Sacco has made more changes mid-game after the Bruins have fallen behind 2-0 vs the Rangers.
To start the game Wahlstrom was placed on the fourth line with Johnny Beecher and
Mark Kastelic.
Wahlstrom looked solid for the Bruins and nearly scored his first goal as a Boston Bruin after making a nasty move around a Rangers player, but ended up hitting the post.
Oliver Wahlstrom smokes on off the inside of the post after a nice move off the wall to free him up for time and space to shoot. Feels like a goal is coming for him
Entering the second period, Wahlstrom would be promoted back to the third line where he has been playing since being acquired by the Bruins, and Sacco made other lineup moves as well.
Here are the new lines after trailing by 2 goals:
New lines:
Marchand-Lindholm-Pastrnak
Zacha-Coyle-Geekie
Brazeau-Frederic-Wahlstrom
Beecher-Kastelic-Koepke
This move quickly paid off for Joe Sacco and the Boston Bruins as David Pastrnak had a sweet feed to
Elias Lindholm to give the Bruins some momentum.
That's a slick feed from David Pastrnak.
