Before and after their game last Saturday against the Hurricanes, Bruins head coach Marco Sturm was being questioned for an update on Elias Lindholm.
On Saturday, Sturm did not have many answers for reporters, but on Monday morning he did have them and offered an insight on the injury.
Sturm gave reporters the first official timeline for when we can expect to see Elias Lindholm return back to the ice.
Official timeline on Lindholm's injury
«What we thought had happened showed on the MRI," Sturm said following Monday's practice at Warrior Ice Arena. "Obviously, I can't tell you what [the injury] is exactly, but it's going to be week-to-week."
Lindholm's injury took place last Thursday whenever the Bruins were taking on the Buffalo Sabres.
Sabres forward
Jordan Greenway and Elias Lindholm ended up colliding at center ice, leaving Lindholm in a bunch of pain, and he even required help to get back to his feet.
Ever since the injury, the Bruins have been considering it to be a lower-body injury for Lindholm.
The injury to Lindholm has opened a door for Johnny Beecher to make a name for himself.
So far this season, Beecher has been in and out of the lineup but will now get a solid chance to prove himself, and he has some time to do that considering he will be out week-to-week.
It's also opened opportunities for other players like
Viktor Arvidsson, who is taking his place on the top power play unit.
The Bruins have continued to have success without him, with multiple players stepping up. They are currently riding a four game winning streak.
