Bruins Network Calls Out Boston's Top Prospect Following Tragedy
Acknowledging a recent tragedy affecting a Boston Bruins prospect, the Bruins Network has released a compassionate statement expressing condolences for the significant loss experienced by both the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth (UMD) and the player involved.
Cole Spicer has made the decision to step away from the NCAA, opting for an alternative path, though the specific challenges leading to this choice remain undisclosed.
Highlighting the diverse journeys undertaken by athletes, the statement emphasizes the intricacies of individual development in the realm of hockey. The Bruins Network, while expressing reservations about the prospect potentially joining the United States Hockey League (USHL), underscores the importance of thoughtful decision-making and recognizes the autonomy of the player in determining his path.
Pretty significant loss for UMD—and Spicer himself—but the NCAA and college route isn't for everyone. Don't know specifically what wasn't clicking for Spicer and I'm thinking he will likely land in the USHL. Probably not the best for his development, but it's on him.
