Yesterday, the Boston Bruins made an unexpected move right after signing a player. Elliotte Friedman revealed that the Boston Bruins placed Ryan Pitlick on waivers just moments after signing him to a contract.
In the morning yesterday, GM Don Sweeney announced an unexpected signing of forward, Tyler Pitlick.
«#NHLBruins have signed forward Tyler Pitlick to a one-year, two-way contract through the 2024-25 season with an NHL cap hit of $775,000. Pitlick, 33, has appeared in 43 games with the Providence Bruins this season. He has also played in 420 career NHL games tallying 109 points.»
The Boston Bruins confirmed the move in a statement:
BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, March 6, that the team has signed forward Tyler Pitlick to a one-year, two-way contract through the 2024-25 season with an NHL cap hit of $775,000.
