The past two days, following the NHL Entry Level Draft, Don Sweeney has been pretty busy.

He has announced contracts for multiple players today, and it was just confirmed that the Bruins will be bringing back a 24-year-old forward.
There is a bunch of news dropping around the league with players re-signing, and now Don Sweeney just announced another signing.

Bruins re-sign Georgii Merkulov

Don Sweeney confirmed that the Boston Bruins are bringing back Georgii Merkulov.
Merk's back in the mix.
It was revealed that Merkulov's new contract is going to be a one-year, two-way contract with a NHL cap hit of $775,000.
Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, June 30, that the team has signed forward Georgii Merkulov to a one-year, two-way contract through the 2025-26 season with an NHL cap hit of $775,000.

Earlier in the day, there was some speculation that Merkulov was not going to be offered a contract, but to everyone's surprise, the Bruins re-signed him.
Last year Merkulov appeared in 6 games for the Boston Bruins, having just 1 point.
He has only played in 10 career NHL games with the Boston Bruins.
