Confirmed: Boston Bruins announce the signing of a 24-year-old forward
The past two days, following the NHL Entry Level Draft, Don Sweeney has been pretty busy.
There is a bunch of news dropping around the league with players re-signing, and now Don Sweeney just announced another signing.
Bruins re-sign Georgii Merkulov
It was revealed that Merkulov's new contract is going to be a one-year, two-way contract with a NHL cap hit of $775,000.
Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, June 30, that the team has signed forward Georgii Merkulov to a one-year, two-way contract through the 2025-26 season with an NHL cap hit of $775,000.
Earlier in the day, there was some speculation that Merkulov was not going to be offered a contract, but to everyone's surprise, the Bruins re-signed him.
Last year
Merkulov appeared in 6 games for the Boston Bruins, having just 1 point.
He has only played in 10 career NHL games with the Boston Bruins.
