A recent announcement unveiled that former Edmonton Oilers forward, Viktor Arvidsson, will be making a huge sacrifice to join the Boston Bruins organization, and it's shocking.
Ahead of this year's free agency on July 1st, Boston Bruins general manager, Don Sweeney, announced that the organization acquired forward, Viktor Arvidsson, from the Edmonton Oilers, in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round draft pick.
And now, new insight has surfaced, revealing that the newest addition to the Boston Bruins roster will be making a huge sacrifice in joining the organization.

A recent post by reporter, Conor Ryan, on social media via 'X' revealed that Arvidsson made his feelings known by expressing he will not be touching No. 33 whilst playing in Boston.

Arvidsson's reasoning behind switching numbers whilst playing in Boston is due to the fact the Bruins' former fan-favourite and Hall Of Famer, Zdeno Chara, wore No. 33 throughout his whole career.
Zdeno Chara is a huge name within this Original Six franchise, and he is undoubtedly one of the Boston Bruins' major legends.
That being said, Arvidsson expressed he is willing to sacrifice his number in order to respect the one and only, Chara.
