Elliott Friedman stuns Boston Bruins fans with latest comments on Rick Toucchet becoming the next head coach

The Boston Bruins organization is still in search for a new head coach for the upcoming 2025/26 NHL season, and new insight has revealed the team is expected to miss out on their top candidate, Rick Tocchet.
Following Rick Tocchet's departure from the Vancouver Canucks, the Bruins have begun to be heavily linked to him, due to his impressive resume and prior connections to the organization.
However, yesterday, Monday May 12, Elliotte Friedman released a new episode on his 32 Thoughts podcast and highlighted a potential obstacle the Boston Bruins will face if acquiring this head coach: Rick Tocchet's salary expectations.

"You know, Boston, the one thing about Boston is Tocchet sees himself as worth a certain market," Friedman said. "We know that from his balance with Vancouver. Boston historically hasn't gone there, like I think Vancouver's offer was in the fours. Boston historically hasn't done that, so I don't know. I mean, it could work out. I just don't know."
Tocchet's asking price is more than understandable, however, the Boston Bruins have been more than stingy as of late, would they cough up a huge chunk of cash for a head coach?
Unlikely.
NHL insider, Jimmy Murphy, also stated that is in unlikely that the Boston Bruins are going to meet his contract demands.

Although it is uncertain of whether or not the Boston Bruins will sacrifice a huge chunk of money to acquire Rick Tocchet, however, fans are extremely hopeful that this head coach will make his way into the organization.
