The Boston Bruins should look to their trade partners in Chicago with a forward who could help spark the offense. That is Ryan Donato who at 28 is having a career year with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Ex-Bruins forward Ryan Donato has found new life in Chicago. This season he's scored 37 points in 53 games with the Blackhawks.
Donato originally arrived as a free agent in Chicago in 2023 which saw him sign a $4 million AAV contract.
His contract will expire at the end of this season, and with his hot-streak could be an interesting addition for a contending team, or those who need good goal-scoring depth.
NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman on Donato:
"The other one I wanted to mention: Ryan Donato," Friedman said. "He scored his 19th goal of the season tonight. He's had an excellent season. He's a $2-million player. A UFA at the end of the year.

I think a few of the Canadian teams are looking around on him. I think Edmonton is one of them, and he is doing nothing to hurt his value.

And I think because of the price and the fact that he's a UFA, he's going to be a pretty attractive piece, and like I said, I think a few of the Canadian teams are around."

One of those teams who should be interested in Donato is GM Don Sweeney and the Bruins if they aren't already.
Donato comes cheap, with a $2 million dollar cap hit, and has punched above his weight this season scoring 19 goals.
His play has excelled under Head Coach Anders Sorensen and has always been a factor in the Blackhawks offense.
He's a gritty, physical forward who will get in the dirty parts of the ice and is a fierce competitor.
The Bruins could easily afford Donato, as it's been speculated he could be acquired for the same price as Taylor Hall, a third-round pick.
But as his production rises, so does his trade-value, if GM Don Sweeney does decide to pull the trigger he should do it soon, before he is outbid by a Canadian team.
A reunion between the two parties wasn't ever in our thoughts before, but the Bruins could ride the high of Donato's career year, as a rental and if he impresses the team down the road, consider an extension.
