Former Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy is facing some backlash for some comments he made during a post game media scrum.

It's no secret that Bruce Cassidy can get pretty heated, it just goes to show how much love and passion he has for the game of hockey, but Cassidy reached a new level over the weekend making some comments that has him seeing some backlash now.
After his loss to the Buffalo Sabres, Bruce Cassidy was furious, and made it clear when speaking to reporters following the game. It was clear that Cassidy was angry as he was shifting back and forth while answering questions.
The former Boston Bruins head coach made it clear that he was not happy with how his team performed against one of the worst teams in the league.
"A total lack of respect," said Cassidy of what cost his team the game. "Probably most of the night, but the way it kind of ended probably sums that up."

Reporters then asked Cassidy his thoughts about forward Tomas Hertl trying to force a pass through a defender to Eichel when he had an empty net, and could have ended the game. In his response, Cassidy did not hold back and made it known that Hertl let his entire team down with the play.
"I'd like to see him shoot the puck in the net and end the game that's what I'd like to see," said Cassidy with steam practically coming off his head at this point. "I think the whole team would like to see that."

Here is the Hertl play:
Tomas Hertl had an opportunity to seal the game with an ENG. Instead, Rasmus Dahlin ties up the game 3-3 moments later #Sabrehood #VegasBorn
Cassidy was then asked if he could use that game as a learning experience, or if he could use it to send a message to his locker room, and once again he showed frustration in his response:
"I don't know," said Cassidy. "Listen I'm still trying to digest what just happened."

Vegas being a top team in the league, and a serious contender for the Stanley Cup once again, had one of the worst endings to a game this season, and it's clear that the players and coaching staff will not forget this game for awhile.
