Ex-Bruins captain Brad Marchand has just helped the Boston Bruins in massive way

Brad Marchand and the Florida Panthers are doing wonders for the Boston Bruins right now. A recent announcement revealed that they have helped them during their retool process.
During the NHL trade deadline, the Boston Bruins ended up trading Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers, and fans weren't too happy with the move by GM Don Sweeney.
Especially considering the return they got for Marchand. In return for their captain, Don Sweeney only got back a conditional second round pick.
The condition on the pick was that Marchand had to play in 50% of the Panthers playoff games, and they had to make it to the ECF.
The #NHLBruins have acquired a conditional 2027 second-round pick from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Brad Marchand.
If those two conditions were met, the Boston Bruins would receive a first-round pick from the Panthers instead of a second.

Brad Marchand and the Florida Panthers are currently up 3-0 on the Carolina Hurricanes in the ECF, meaning the Boston Bruins are going to receive a first-round pick from the Panthers, and it has officially been updated on PuckPedia:

Now the Boston Bruins have a first round pick this year, two first-round picks in 2026, and two first-round picks in 2027.
Pending soon-to-be met conditions of the Marchand trade, Boston projects to have 7th overall pick in 2025, two first-round picks in 2026 and two first-round picks in 2027. They'll have five (!) first-round picks and four second-round picks over the next three drafts. #NHLBruins
They may opt to trade a couple if it's at the right price, but this definitely will help the Bruins retool moving forward.
