heartbreaking news strikes ex-bruins goaltender linus ullmark following recent announcement and it's sad
Heartbreaking news has struck an ex-bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark following a recent announcement made on Thursday night
When Boston Bruins goaltender
Linus Ullmark left the Boston Bruins, he was surely in hopes that it was for the better.
Don Sweeney's decision to not retain Ullmark may not have worked out in his favor, Ullmark went onto the Ottawa Senators and led them to playoff contention, despite being out of a playoff spot early on in the season.
Jeremy Swayman on the other hand has sadly posted career-worst numbers this season, which certainly contributed to the team's fall out from playoff contention.
Unfortunately for Linus Ullmark and his new team, the Ottawa Senators, they've lost the Battle of Ontario against the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 6 of their seven-game series on Thursday night.
Ullmark's stellar save percentage would ultimately not be enough to backstop the dreadful Ottawa Senators defense, who clinched a Wildcard spot just earlier in April.
"Tariffs on Stanley Cups in the nation's capital.
The Ottawa Senators remain without a playoff series win since the second-round of the 2017 NHL Playoffs."
Perhaps Ullmark is now regretting his decision to not be apart of the Boston Bruins'
goaltending tandem that shares the crease evenly, which was with
Jeremy Swayman at the time.
While ex-Bruin Linus Ullmark falls back out of a first-round playoff spot, the Boston Bruins, with their full trust in Don Sweeney re-tooling this off-season, look to be back better than ever in the 2025-26 season.
