Boston Bruins goaltender Swayman may have just released his final statement as a member of the Boston bruins, after stern words may turn general manager Don Sweeney's feelings wrong
Swayman started off his post-loss and game press conference by addressing the goals that went in, and was surprisingly on a somewhat positive note.
«It's tough to see shots that are deflected twice off a player,» Swayman told reporters after the loss. «I think every goal had some sort of deflection and ended up on their tape.
You really can't dwell on it. You just have to move forward, and that was the mindset tonight. It was just any shot I was going to see, I was going to stop, and if it deflected, I wanted to make sure I'm in the way of it.»
Until he turned the page and got a little deeper, revealing that the Bruins are no longer a respected team (assumingly after trading away several core players, including their captain Brad Marchand), which Don Sweeney was behind.
«Nobody respects us, and that's something that we need to get behind, and I think that we can do it. I know that we have something special in here to be successful, and we don't get results.
That's frustrating. We just have to keep ourselves to a standard that has been met every game, and that's something that we need to work on.»
Many wonder if Swayman will remain more tight-lipped after this interview, as Don Sweeney is clearly on his high horse at the moment, with a quick trigger finger to pull off a trade.
Or, would the Bruins goaltender continue to send subtle shots to management, in hopes to lead to a trade?
