Although the Boston Bruins may have made a mistake by trading their former captain, Brad Marchand, the trade deadline definitely worked in the Panthers favour, as it has been confirmed Florida will be making an appearance to the 2025 NHL playoffs.

The Boston Bruins organization made a questionable move this past trade deadline that resulted in fans being furious as they sent off their favourited Brad Marchand to Florida in some would say, a very unreasonable trade.
The veteran who won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2011 will now be contending in this year's playoffs for the Florida Panthers, whilst the Bruins watch from home.

The Boston Bruins may have had a shot at playoff contention

Although it may be far fetched, since the departure of the team's former captain, Boston has endured an unfortunate amount of losses. Within their last 10 games, they are standing at a 1-8-1 record and it has just been confirmed the team will be absent from any postseason contention, leaving some speculation that trading their captain may have been a huge downfall in the team's overall success.
Despite the unfortunate result in Brad's departure, he is now part of a strong and contending team, which may even leave the 36-year old with another Stanley Cup under his belt.
Do you think the Boston Bruins would have made their way into contention for the postseason this year if Brad Marchand was never traded?
