Jack Edwards Doubles Down on Rivalry With Pat Maroon
It's safe to say, that not many fans saw Jack Edwards versus Patrick Maroon becoming the biggest rivalry in the NHL this season.
But thankfully, it did, and now Edwards has doubled down on the rivalry with the Maroon during the Bruins and Lightning game earlier this afternoon.
How It All Started
Most hockey fans would know by now but Bruins play-by-play announced Jack Edwards, was criticized earlier in the season when he ''fat shamed'' the Lightning forward.
The unprovoked and somewhat nasty comments by Edwards did lead to some good, however, as Maroon donated raised funds to charity after the incident.
Back to the Present
Despite the two allegedly making up after the fat shaming comments, Edwards clearly still has a bad taste in his mouth when it comes to Maroon.
After Patrice Bergeron opened the scoring on the power play, which just so happened to be a Maroon penalty, Edwards let him have it:
''Maroon takes the skate of shame!''
''Have a seat!''
''Have a seat!''
Although it wasn't much, as a Bruins fan, you just knew that Jack Edwards was waiting to get one more shot at Pat Maroon.
