With the Boston Bruins searching for a new head coach, there has been a new development that they could possibly sign Mike Sullivan and acquire Sidney Crosby at the same time.
After firing Jim Montgomery at the beginning of the season, the Boston Bruins replaced him with Joe Sacco.
Sacco only held the interim title as the head coach of the Boston Bruins, and the organization did not count out the fact that he could be a candidate for the official job.
Ever since the firing of Mike Sullivan in Pittsburgh yesterday, there has been a lot of speculation that the former Bruins coach has jumped to the top of the list for the Boston Bruins open head coaching position.
Now, an NHL insider revealed that if the Boston Bruins are able to sign Mike Sullivan as the next head coach, they may be able to acquire Sidney Crosby as well.
Bruins to sign Mike Sullivan and acquire Sidney Crosby?
Sidney Crosby and Mike Sullivan have built a special bond together, and it was a big reason that he was the head coach of the Penguins for 10 years, along with the fact that he lead them to two Stanley Cups.
With that being said, NHL insider Jimmy Murphy revealed today that he feels Sidney Crosby is going to go wherever Mike Sullivan ends up.
I know #GoHabsGo fans are praying that if #LetsGoPens captain Sidney Crosby agreed to be traded, he'd play for the team he grew up cheering for, but my gut says Crosby would wind up playing for whoever hires Mike Sullivan.
He also went on to say that it probably wouldn't happen right away, but would be something to keep an eye on closer to the NHL trade deadline.

If the Boston Bruins were able to acquire Crosby, this would change things for them. Just imagine him and Pastrnak together.
