The Boston Bruins took a 2-1 series lead in their Eastern Conference first-round match-up against the Florida Panthers on Friday night, winning Game 3 in Florida. This victory provides the Bruins with some time and options to rest key players, such as captain Patrice Bergeron and forward David Krejci.
Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery provided an update during a press conference after practice.
Montgomery revealed that Krejci's availability for Game 4 is questionable, while Bergeron is believed to be ready for Game 5.
Additionally, the Bruins may surprise fans with a goaltender change, as
Jeremy Swayman may start in net to give
Linus Ullmark some rest.
With a deep roster, the Bruins have plenty of options and flexibility to make strategic moves. This depth is a good problem to have, as the team is well-stocked in all positions, including in net.
