New insight has unveiled that the Boston Bruins are set to combine with the New York Islanders to undergo a massive trade moments before this year's NHL draft.
The NHL draft is set to take place in just a couple days, on Friday, June 27, and conversation have been heating up regarding the Boston Bruins' No. 7 overall draft pick selection.
Moments following the Boston Bruins acquiring a top-10 draft pick selection for the 2025 NHL Draft, trade talks erupted in Boston, unveiling conversations have emerged with the New York Islanders.
The Islanders are reportedly seeking another top 10 pick, as they intend to acquire Long Island native, James Hagens.
Acquiring a top 10 pick is never easy, yet, if Boston Bruins' general manager, Don Sweeney, does move on from it, he could easily receive a nice haul in return.
Sweeney announced that the Boston Bruins are willing to trade their 7th overall pick, if they can acquire a player that can make immediate impact to the organization's roster.
And based on multiple resources, rumors and speculations, the Boston Bruins and New York Islanders are still in the midst of trade talks regarding this No. 7 overall draft pick.
TSN reporter, Bob McKenzie, unveiled the 2025 NHL Draft rankings, and Hagens is seemingly in the perfect position for this trade to erupt.
