The Boston Bruins have been in dire need of new players to increase their contention within the NHL organization, however, it was just revealed the team has suddenly taken a different approach by deducting players from their lineup following a recent announcement regarding a demotion.
On Wednesday, March 26, the Boston Bruins took on the ice against the Anaheim Ducks, which concluded in an unexpected cross-check by a newly promoted defenseman.
The Boston Bruins defenseman,
Michael Callahan, laid a dirty cross-check to the Anaheim Ducks' forward, Jansen Haskins, which he claimed to be accidental.
However, the individual had a brutal fine incoming.

Following this horrible cross-check, it was later revealed that the defenseman received the maximum allowable fine for his actions.
This ultimately left the Boston Bruins in a tough spot with this recently recalled defenseman, and there are speculations that this could have created a detrimental career impact for Callahan.
Just four days following the incident, it was revealed he is suggested to make his way back to the organization's AHL team, the
Providence Bruins, as a new transaction was released following an unexpected change in the team's lineup.
On the AHL's stats and transactions, Callahan is one of the newly added players to the list:
It is clear this individual was demoted, however, we are uncertain if the organization will use this as a lesson, or if he will ever see the Boston Bruins bench again.
