Today, the Boston Bruins will be playing in their final game before the Four Nations Faceoff tournament begins, and head coach Joe Sacco announced a surprising move with goaltender Jeremy Swayman.
Korpisalo has been good for the Boston Bruins this year, although the numbers may not back it up, but the Bruins have not been able to perform in front of him this year.
He has only started 19 games this year for the Bruins, and has a 9-6-2 record with a 2.86 GAA, with a .892 SV%. Despite these numbers, Korpisalo has been really consistent and has given the Bruins opportunities to stay in games.
Swayman on the other hand has been super inconsistent for the Bruins. He's appeared in 39 games this season and has a 18-17-4 record with a 2.95 GAA, and a .898 SV%.
Bruins make a move with Jeremy Swayman
Going off of the Boston Burins practice lines yesterday, the team will be going back to Jeremy Swayman in nets before he heads out to play with team USA at the Four Nations Faceoff tournament.
It's unclear whether Swayman will get a start during any of the Four Nations games or not, especially considering how inconsistent he has been, but it will be interesting to see.
