Former Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand has recently achieved an incredible feat not too many players can say they've done, and following an announcement by the National Hockey League controversy begins to pour in from one specific fan base.
Brad Marchand achieved his 100th NHL game on Tuesday when the Florida Panthers would take on the Tampa Bay Lightning, and it received recognition from the NHL in a major statement released that widespread across social media.
Despite the incredible historic accomplishment being made, the Panthers would ultimately take a
5-1 loss.
"Career NHL game No. 10, 100000 for Brad Marchand! Congratulations to the @FlaPanthers forward
In what seemed to be a positive post would light a fire underneath the Boston Bruins' fan base, and caused slander towards the organizations
general manager Don Sweeney.
Hope you literally have nightmares every night about this Don Sweeney
Should've celebrated as a Bruin
And that wasn't all of the controversial comments; hundreds more were sent out directed at the Boston Bruins' ownership group who completed
Marchand trade, but they are far too profane to show.
It's quite clear the only way Boston Bruins fans will get over the lackluster trade of Brad Marchand will be to witness Don Sweeney himself take accountability, and resign or mutually part ways with the organization.
Despite the ongoing controversy overshadowing Marchand's incredible achievement, we would like to send our congratulations to the longtime Bruins captain.
1,090 of those 1,100 NHL games played were done while donning the Black and Gold.
