Now that the 2021-22 NHL season has officially come to an end, it's time to look ahead at some of the key offseason dates coming up.
The first important date is as early as this Friday, which is when the first buyout opens for NHL teams. The only contract with any value in buying out for the Boston Bruins would be that of
Nick Foligno. However, per reports, that sounds unlikely this offseason.
Here are some other important dates that come in the first few weeks of July:
July 2nd - Club-elected salary arbitration deadline
July 8th - NHL Draft Round 2-7
July 11th - Qualifying Offer deadline for RFAs
July 12th - First buyout window closes
Some other important dates:
July 17th - Player-elected salary arbitration deadline
July 22 - Qualifying offers expire
July 27th to August 11th - Arbitration hearings
