Since the calendar flipped over to 2022, the Boston Bruins haven't done much but win.
The Bruins have the best record in the NHL since January 1st, at 64-20-5 (.747 win %), with the next closest being the Colorado Avalanche at 58-22-7 (.707). *We know playoff success is the most important, but we're not talking about that right now.
However, that's not the only impressive stat from the Bruins in 2022, as the club also made NHL history. As per NHL Public Relations:
The Bruins improved to 64-20-5 during the regular season in 2022, the third most wins in a single calendar year in NHL history behind Pittsburgh (65 in 2013) and Chicago (64 in 2013). Meanwhile, their 37 regular-season home wins through that span eclipsed Washington (36 in 2017) and Florida (36 in 2021) for the most in a calendar year in League history.
Boston still has three games remaining in 2022:
Dec. 27th @ OTT
Dec. 28th @ NJD
Dec. 31st vs BUF
Will they set another NHL record for most wins in a calendar year?
