Vancouver Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau made a huge announcement about one of his top forwards Saturday afternoon.
According to Sportsnet's play-by-play announcer Brendan Batchelor, Boudreau is healthy scratching top-six forward
Brock Boeser tonight against the Arizona Coyotes.
Boudreau's reasoning, as per Batchelor:
''The whole message is that we all have to be better. We're taking one guy out, but it's an important player of our team. An important guy that we're going to need to win down the road. Everybody's gotta start playing their best, or this is the result.''
Boeser, 25, has three goals and 11 assists in 18 games this season but is also a minus 14.
It's an interesting choice to bench one of your best players, but everyone on the team should be treated the same. If you're not playing your best, you can watch from the press box!
