It wasn't the start that Patrice Bergeron or Torey Krug were hoping for when it comes to their 2018-19 preseason.
Both have been sidelined with injury and haven't gotten any real action yet.
For Bergeron, it's been a little worrisome after his offseason surgery and the back spasms which have showed up recently, however he's skated alone recently which is a good step in the right direction.
Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy mentioned early Monday that Bergeron has continued skating, now with Ryan Fitzgerald and Jakub Zboril and there's a slight chance he could actually play on Saturday.
As for Krug, the Bruins defenseman along with Noel Acciari had scheduled days off on Monday and both will skate Tuesday with the possibility of playing in Wednesday's game.
Cassidy also took the time to mention that there's no clear update on Sean Kuraly, but the team is "hopeful" he skates on Tuesday.
Great news for the Bruins considering the season is getting closer and closer.
