Yesterday head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed that injured forwards Anders Bjork and Frank Vatrano would not be accompanying the Boston Bruins to their trip to western Canada.
This left just 12 forwards on their roster and you knew they would not take the bare minimum with them to Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. As expected, the Bruins recalled another forward from Providence before boarding the plane heading west.
Jordan Szwarz has been recalled from the Providence Bruins. He has three assists in his 10 NHL games this season. Szwarz leads all Providence players with 15 goals this season to go along with his 20 points and +25 goal differential.
Szwarz is expected to be on the ice when the Bruins practice his afternoon in Vancouver, but it is unsure if and when he crack the lineup during the road trip.
