The d-man has been unreal in his first season with Boston University.
As a freshman with the Terriers, Ty Gallagher has already been turning many heads thanks to his elite vision and quick release.
The Bruins selected the defenseman in the seventh-round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and, with the latest honors Gallagher has just received, that already feels like a steal.
The Michigan native was just named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. The blueliner scored five goals and picked up 16 points in the 33 games he played for B.U.
Gallagher was also effective away from the puck; he led all Hockey East rookies with 44 blocked shots and maintained a plus/minus differential of +8.
On top of being named Hockey East Rookie of the Week twice and Hockey East Defender of the Week once this year, the 19-year-old helped the Terriers win the latest Beanpot championship.
