One of the biggest Boston Bruins free agent targets this past summer was Los Angeles Kings forward Ilya Kovalchuk.
The 35 year old was looking to make his NHL return and Bruins general manager Don Sweeney was hoping it would be for Boston.
Kovalchuk ended up signing with the Kings for three years at a $6.25million cap hit per season.
The Bruins seemed to have dodge a bullet at the time however Kovalchuk is now trying to flee Los Angeles.
So far this season for the lowly Kings, Kovalchuk has registered 10 goals and 15 assists in 42 games, with eight of those points coming on the power play.
Would you roll the dice on the former 50 goal scorer?
