Hathaway made his Bruins debut Saturday night in Vancouver and was spotted sporting some ''interesting'' looking gloves, to say the least. With Boston on a road trip, Hathaway wasn't able to practice with his new team, so he never had the opportunity to break in the all black Bruins gloves.
And as Marina Maher of the Garden Grizzlies Podcast pointed out, the winger clearly spray painted over his red, white and blue Capitals gloves:
As you probably already knew, Marchand used the same tactic on his Winter Classic gloves earlier this season.
Hathaway logged 11:40 of ice time in his Bruins debut, collected two hits in a 3-1 win over the Canucks.
