The Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers cross paths for the final time this season tonight.
Despite playing at home, it will definitely be no easy task for the B's as the Panthers sit first in the overall standings with a four-point cushion on the Colorado Avalanche.
However, the Florida squad has yet to officially lock up that first overall spot and will look to do so with a win over the Bruins at TD Garden. The Bruins however, currently riding a two-game win streak of their own, will have other plans in mind.
With a win over the Bruins, the Panthers could guarantee themselves the No. 1 seed throughout the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
They will be able to get their hands on the franchise's very first Presidents' Trophy no matter if they top the B's in regulation, in OT, or in a shootout.
However, if Florida only gets one point off the Bruins by losing in extra time, they'll have to wait and see if the St. Louis Blues can defeat the Avalanche in regulation before kicking off their celebrations.
With the Panthers looking to make history tonight, you can bet the Bruins will come out hard, with an extra chip on their shoulder, to spoil the party in front of their home fans!
