How the Bruins can clinch a playoff berth on Thursday

Remember when everyone said the Boston Bruins were peaking too early? Well, there's 20 games remaining and they've lost 14 times, including only nine in regulation.
This team is for real and can now officially clinch postseason berth as early as tomorrow night. According to Twitter page
Boston Sports Info, there's two ways they can accomplish that:

2. Sabres, Islanders and Senators all lose in regulation
The earliest a team has ever clinched was the 1978-79 New York Islanders, who did it with 25 games remaining. However, 12 of 17 teams made the playoffs that season.
The earliest a team has clinched with a closer league format to today, was the 2001-02 Detroit Red Wings with 16 games remaining.
