Jim Montgomery adds his name to history books amid hot start with the Boston Bruins

Jim Montgomery is off to a scorching start as head coach of the Boston Bruins, sitting first in the NHL with a 15-2-0 record.
And after defeating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Thursday night, the Bruins improved to 10-0-0 at home and become the fifth team in league history with wins in each of their first 10 or more home games to start a season.
Of the four previous instances, only two involved a head coach making his debut with a team: Billy Reay (1963-64 w/ CHI) and Alex Curry (1925-26 w/ SEN).
Montgomery also matched an NHL record with his early success. As per NHL Public Relations:
Montgomery (17 GP) also matched the fewest games by a head coach to record his first 15 wins with a new team, a mark set by John Paddock (17 GP in 2007-08 w/ OTT).
