Calgary Flames fans have been keeping their eyes on the Johnny Gaudreau situation, wondering if he will stay a Flame or leave for free agency.
NHL insider Andy Strickland reported that the Flames offered Gaudreau a contract worth $9.5 million AAV.
However, 'Johnny Hockey' has yet to give an answer.
Unfortunately, Gaudreau may not be the only star leaving Calgary this summer.
Strickland also reported that Flames GM Brad Treliving is looking at potential offers to trade RFA
Matthew Tkachuk.
Apparently, Treliving hasn't been ''all-in'' on Tkachuk yet as he's offered him just a three-year deal instead of locking him down long-term.
Tkachuk had a career year with 42 goals and 104 points this season and is reportedly looking for at least $9 to $10 million AAV on his next contract.
