After Tyler Seguin was the latest NHL player to suffer a ''cut by skate blade'' related injury on Thursday night, another scary scene unfolded in Russia, as well.
Forward Kirill Urakov of the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo took a skate to the face during Friday's game against Dynamo Moskva. The incident occurred when Urakov was attempting to slip past an incoming body check. As he moved, his opponent fell forward with his skate swinging directly into Uralic's face.
As you can see in the video, Urakov immediately jumps to his feet, throws off his gloves and helmet, and heads straight to the bench, throwing off his helmet on the way.
According to reports, Urakov suffered a deep cut above the lips and under the nose but the league or his team have yet to release any updates.
Let's hope thats a good sign and it wasn't as bad as it looked!
