Evgeni Malkin has had an already legendary career that's included the Calder Trophy (2007), Hart Trophy (2012), Art Ross Trophy (2009, 2012), Ted Lindsay Award (2012), Conn Smythe (2009) and of course, three Stanley Cups.
And he added to that Sunday night.
''Geno'' has dealt with several injuries the past few seasons, but last night, he finally skated in his 1000th NHL game.
Prior to the game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks was perhaps the most special for the veteran and his family, however. As his son, Nikita, read out the starting lineup for the game (see below).
Bringing both the Malkin's to tears:
Malkin would end up scoring his 8th of the season in a 5-3 Penguins win over the Blackhawks as well.
The 36-year-old is up to 452 goals and 714 assists in his incredible career.
