Famous heavy metal band Metallica performed at the Boston Calling Music Festival this past Sunday. Before the gig, the band posted a picture on their Instagram of lead vocalist James Hetfield wearing former Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rasks' mask.
The post was captioned "Tuukka!!" as they also tagged the Boston Bruins.
Tuukka is known as a huge Metallica fan and a lover of heavy music in general. Rask also received recognition from the band a couple of years ago when the Bruins honoured the goaltender for his 500th NHL game. The gifts he received included a video greeting from Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, and his Bruins teammates gave him a copy of the drum set used by Ulrich.
Rask was also congratulated on Metallica's Twitter:
Rask currently works as a brand ambassador for the Boston Bruins in a public relations position.
