November 20th, 1986, the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens combined for one of their many instant classics between the longtime heated rivals.
This one had it all 36 years ago today. Canadiens enforcer Chris Nilan was being escorted off the ice by the officials and decided to take a swing at Bruins' Ken Linseman on the bench. Players from both teams were fighting in the hallway that led from Boston's bench all the way to the dressing rooms.
Nilan was handed a three-game suspension for his part in the brawl. While Ryan Walter and Claude Lemieux were suspended for one game.
