Just about a week ago, we shared a report with you that the Boston Bruins were interested in Edmonton Oilers forward Patrick Maroon.
The Edmonton Journal's Jim Matheson pointed at the Bruins as the top contender for the Oilers power forward.
Now NBC Sports' Joe Haggerty has also confirmed that the B's and general manager Don Sweeney have their sights set on Maroon.
The Oilers forward has a combined 40 goals over the last two seasons and carries an affordable $1.5million cap hit for the season, his last on his current contract.
He would obviously bring a bit of scoring punch to the B's, however the majority of his production has come playing along side
Connor McDavid. During Maroon's time in Anaheim his career highs were 34 points in a season and 11 goals and had never played the full 82 games before joining the Oilers.
Another interesting fact is that Maroon has fought Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid as both a member of the Oilers and Ducks.
Maroon has a total of 162 points in 353 games and also 438 penalty minutes.
Do you think Maroon would be a good addition for the Bruins?
