The Boston Bruins made a big statement to the rest of the NHL last night with a 4-1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The win put an end to the Lightning's 10 game win streak and point streak of 14 games while the Bruins extended their point streak to 15 games.
Tuukka Rask made 20 saves during the game to extend his personal point streak to 16 games as the goalie has gone 13-0-3 in that span.
After the game while speaking with the media, Lightning star
Steven Stamkos said it felt like they were "in quicksand" throughout the game, as the Bruins had them trapped.
The Bruins headed into the third period of the game with a 1-0 lead and then scored three goals in the span of 1:28 to put the game away.
The B's started a nice home stand on Tuesday with a win against the Sharks, followed by last night's win against the Lightning. Boston follows that up with home games against the Devils, Hurricanes, Panthers and Senators before they hit the road.
