The Boston Bruins represent the third oldest franchise in today's NHL.
The B's are two years away from celebrating their 100th anniversary, so it makes sense that their name is written all over the NHL history books.
After clinching a spot in the 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs against the Pittsburgh Penguins three days ago, the Bruins will be taking part in the postseason for the sixth straight campaign.
Success doesn't come as a surprise to fans in Beantown however, as Boston has now clinched a berth in the playoffs for the 13th time in the past 15 seasons.
But where do the Bruins rank all-time in postseason appearances?
The answer is second, to only the Montreal Canadiens. That's right, the 98-year-old Bruins franchise has reached the playoffs in 74 of their seasons so far. The 105-year-old Canadiens top them with 85 seasons of their own.
Let's hope the Bruins 75th playoff participation this season finishes like six of their previous campaigns... with Lord Stanley's cup coming to Boston!
