It's unclear whether or not the trade was placed in time or not before the 3 p.m. trade deadline, but if it was, it was just reported that the Boston Bruins have acquired a former first-round pick from the Buffalo Sabres.
According to Darren Dreger, the Boston Bruins are acquiring Henri Jokiharju from the Buffalo Sabres.

Jfresh, an NHL analytic has reported that Jokiharju is a third pairing defenseman, making it an interesting choice for Sweeney to acquire him, but after moving Brandon Carlo, the Bruins needed someone to replace him.
