Entering the off-season, two players have emerged as top trade candidates for the Boston Bruins, with one of them being an unexpected candidate.

The 2024-25 season did not go how the Boston Bruins planned. They made some big moves in the off-season signing Elias Lindholm, and Nikita Zadorov to big contracts in hopes to be a more competitive team this season, but it did not help.
Now the Boston Bruins are gearing up for a busy off-season where they plan to make some big moves once again, and be back into the playoffs next year.
The Bruins are expected to be very busy during free agency, to help get back to a competitive team once again.
Not only free agency, but they are expected to be busy in the off-season possibly trading away some players, and according to The Hockey News, these two players are at the top of the list of players the Bruins may trade.

Two Players Emerge As Top Trade Candidates

At the end of the year, Joonas Korpisalo made it very clear to the Boston Bruins that he was not happy with the organization, and how little playing time he ended up getting. After signing Swayman to an eight-year deal, and having seven-years remaining, there really isn't room for Korpisalo to get more playing time.
If the Boston Bruins did trade Korpisalo, it would free up another $3 million in cap space giving them more room to make big moves in free agency.
Another Bruin to watch out for is Andrew Peeke. This year is the final year of his contract, if the Bruins don't see him sticking around long-term, they could opt to trade him and possibly give a younger prospect a chance in their bottom pairs.
Trading Peeke would give the Bruins an extra $2.75 million in cap space, allowing them to either scan the open market for another defenseman, or use that cap space to fill other holes in their roster.
