A worrying report was made regarding two Boston Bruins defenseman: A major question has surfaced

It led to them missing the playoffs for the first time in eight-years, and caused them to trade away a bunch of key players during the NHL trade deadline.

Some of the more notable players the Boston Bruins ended up trading away were Brad Marchand, Charlie Coyle, and Brandon Carlo.

A big reason for the Boston Bruins having a terrible year was due to two of their top defenseman missing a lot of time for the Bruins.

Both Charlie McAvoy, and Hampus Lindholm ended up missing good chunks of the season, and now a serious question has raised regarding their health.

Lindholm only appeared in 17 games for the Boston Bruins after suffering a knee injury on November 11th against the St. Louis Blues.

McAvoy was injured during the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament in February that caused him to miss the remainder of the year.

Now a big question has surfaced, can they both stay healthy?

Both Lindholm, and McAvoy are big pieces to the Boston Bruins defense.

If they both can stay healthy, and get some goaltending from Jeremy Swayman, there is a chance that the Bruins could be a more competitive team.

After earning the starting crease last year, Jeremy Swayman ended up having the worst year of his career.

If Swayman can bounce back for them moving forward, the Bruins could find themselves back into the playoffs.

And of course, if both of Lindholm and McAvoy can stay healthy that would be pretty ideal for the Boston Bruins.
