Boston Bruins Brad Marchand Stuns Fans When Speaking About Retiring From The NHL

Brad Marchand is subject to numerous trade rumors, and the topic of trade and retirement was addressed on the "What Chaos" Podcast. What are his future plans for retirement?
As Brad Marchand continues the season, the pending UFA hasn't signed a contract with the Boston Bruins.
He's spent his entire career with the team and could end up wearing a different uniform, depending on how the season goes with the Bruins. It all depends if they qualify for the playoffs.
As rumors of a trade to the Western Conference continued to make the waves, he found himself on the "What Chaos" show to discuss different topics. Including the topic of retirement from the NHL.
When it came to the possibility of Marchand being traded, he's pushed it out of sight, out of mind for a reason.
"I think I'd feel very weird... probably a little lost... I don't really think about it 'cause it's not something that I really see happening."
For him, it'd be weird and he'd be lost, especially after wearing the spoked-B since 2009. Stranger in a stranger land right?
Marchand also said during the discussion that he plans on retiring when he hits 40. But that's not entirely true, as he'd like to play as long as he can contribute to the team's success.
"I've always wanted to play till I was 40. That's kind of the goal I've had for a while.
I've had conversations with guys I've played with in the past, and I think I want to play as long as I can still be effective. I don't want to reach the point where I'm just filling a spot in the lineup.

Marchand's been a hot topic this season, as there's been little to no development on the contract ends for the forward.
NHL teams don't treasure their Captains like they used to. Considering the Rangers, and Lightning traded theirs before Marchand, the precedent is set.
