NHL insider, Elliotte Friedman, reveals a sign-and-trade is expected to erupt in Boston, unveiling it is in the works.
On Sportnet's Elliotte Friedman's 32 Thoughts Podcast, he revealed some new insight regarding the Boston Bruins and their general manager, Don Sweeney's intentions moving forward into the organization's re-tool.
Friedman unveiled during his podcast that the Bruins have some cap space flexibility, and that some highly skilled players will become free agents during the 2025/26 NHL season, leaving him to believe the organization will take a shot of some of these talents.

A comment on this social media post via 'X' later revealed that he took Friedman's report as a hint that the Boston Bruins organization is going to acquire a 2026 UFA, and later sign the player.

Although it is uncertain whether the Boston Bruins will take a shot at a future free agent this offseason in order to create immediate impact for the 2025/26 season, it is certain this Original Six franchise is dissecting every possibility to complete their re-tool as quickly as possible.
