Heading into the 2025-26 season, the Boston Bruins roster is already looking a lot different.

Brad Marchand being traded during the NHL trade deadline confirmed that a new era of the Boston Bruins hockey has begun.
This move also made the Bruins lose some peskiness, and thats why Tanner Jeannot was signed during free agency.
Now the Boston Bruins may be eyeing down another enforcer before the beginning of the season.

Bruins linked to Klim Kostin

According to Heavy.com, they believe that the Boston Bruins should go out and sign 6-foot-4, 232 LB Russian forward Klim Kostin.
If the Boston Bruins were to offer him a league deal, or even a PTO, it would add a lot more physicality to their lineup, and he could prove why he was taken in the first-round.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman recently revealed why the Boston Bruins went out and signed Tanner Jeannot:
«That had everyone screaming,» Eliotte Friedman revealed on the 32 Thoughts Podcast,»what is Boston doing here with this. The hardcore fans always see something that we at 30-thousand feet don't always see.» Friedman goes on to explain some of the thought process behind the contracted they handed out.

«So I asked around,» Friedman revealed. «With Jeannot, yes it's a five-year deal but the number isn't going to hurt you. I heard there were 10-teams after this guythere's not a lot of guys around like Jeannot anymore.»

«They want Zadorov to just play hockey. I think they felt Zadorov was fighting too much or going after guys too much. They're still not a big teamthey brought Jeannot in to be a little bigger, a little meaner, so Zadorov doesn't have to do this as much.»

Kostin is similar to Jeannot, and is not scared to drop the gloves. In 190 NHL games, he has collected 480 hits.
He only appeared in 35 games during the 2024-25 season and threw 110 hits, while averaging 10:41 of ice time per game.
The 26-year-old was originally drafted 31st overall in 2017 by the St. Louis Blues, and was once considered a top-3 overall pick.
