The Boston Bruins have made some unexpected signings during the off-season so far.

Don Sweeney mostly signed bottom-six/depth players, whenever many people thought he was going to be making some big moves this off-season, especially after how last year went.
According to recent reports, the Boston Bruins may be adding a new top-six player, and a contract may be signed soon.
After being one of the worst teams in the league last year, the Bruins are looking for secondary scoring, and have been linked to the perfect player.

Bruins targeting Victor Olofsson?

NHL analyst Josh Wegman of TheScore has linked the Boston Bruins to signing Vegas Golden Knights winger Victor Olofsson.
«If the Bruins want to return to the playoffs next season after missing out in 2025, their 29th-ranked power play will have to improve significantly,» Wegman wrote. «That makes Olofsson a great fit. Of his 105 career NHL goals, 41 have come on the man advantage. As a lefty with a lethal shot from the right half wall, he could be a great complement to David Pastrnak on the opposite flank. Olofsson is a bit one-dimensional, but he addresses Boston's biggest need.»

Olofsson just finished a one-year, $1.075 million deal with the Vegas Golden Knights, and has yet to sign a new contract. There is a chance that the Bruins could get him on a similar deal.
Last year, Olofsson scored 15 goals, and 14 assists for 29 points in 56 games, but just two years ago he scored a career high in goals with 28 playing for the Sabres.
Adding him into the middle wouldn't be a terrible idea for the Bruins, as they need secondary help, and he is only 29-years-old.
There is a chance that he could return back to the 28-goal scoring pace, playing a middle-six role with the Boston Bruins.
Boston's current top-six consists of David Pastrnak, Morgan Geekie, Pavel Zacha, and Viktor Arvidsson. Adding someone like Olofsson wouldn't be a terrible idea.
Especially if it was on a short team, low cap deal. Low risk, but high reward. This is something Don Sweeney should be looking for.
